Brutti ma Buoni (Ugly but Tasty) cookies. In 1875 one very smart Italian Baker came up with this cookie by putting together whatever ingredients he had on hand at the time. It quickly became a favorite among kings and queens and even famous composers like Giuseppe Verdi. It can be made with hazelnuts, peanuts or macademia nuts. It goes great with coffee, tea, ice cream, hot chocolate, wine or even just by itself in all its splendor :)
